“Angels and Demons” Video Shoot
Hi lovies,
I know I’ve been terrible at keeping this blog updated. I’m so sorry for not giving it more attention. Things have been really crazy and I thought to myself “Well, maybe I should update my blog today.”. So how have you guys been doing?! I wanted to show you some pictures and a short video from behind the scenes at the video shoot to my single “Angels and Demons”. Right now we are getting ready to edit it so it will be a while before it launches. The actual single launch date isn’t set yet but we are shooting towards the end of April. With that said, the music video should be on online towards the end of March.
We are working really hard to bring you an awesome video and I’m super excited to see the final outcome. Let me just tell you a little bit about the history of what went on during the shoot…
First of all, it was SUPER cold on location! I mean, so cold that my fingers were turning PURPLE!!! YES, PURPLE!!! Mina (the stylist) and Jasmine (makeup artist) had to huddle over to help me get warm in between takes. We were all cold but I was the only one basically exposed to the wind and cool temperatures. Everyone else had a coat! :P
We filmed one scene at Twin Peaks in San Francisco and that was probably the coldest set. It’s where my fingers turned a slight hue of purple. The view from there was SICK! I could not believe just how beautiful the bay area really was until we went there. After that, we went towards the Pacific to shoot some B roll film and more beauty shots.
The day before we shot at the director’s house the “argument” scene. This is where I’m supposed to have a “cat and mouse” type of argument with my love interest Evan. Evan was really funny and cool. We definitely made each other laugh between takes because we were complete strangers and had just met when he came on set so it was a little hard to be angry at someone when you never even had a formal introduction on a separate day. It was like: “Ok Evan, be angry at Melissa and Melissa, be angry back” and the magic had to just happen.
From there we went somewhere in San Fran and shot in front of this awesome wall that was completely painted with some cool bright colors. It really worked the contrast with my black wardrobe (sexy dress with sexy boots). We had some Latin girls next to us at one point taking funny pictures of themselves in front of the wall because that wall was just cool like that. They kept on jumping to catch a photograph mid-air. LOL
And last but not least, we went to Treasure Island. Now, this island has an amazing view of the city skyline but it also had some interesting and weird folks just hanging on the boardwalk. They seemed out of place…not tourists and not working…just weird locals that were making interesting conversations in different languages. Hehe.
Well, I think that sums it up. I’m pretty sleepy right now but check out some of the pics below and the video. I hope you are just as excited as I am to see this video completed!!!
xoxo,
Melissa
